Ruach Platform
Turning a church’s content into a conversation
A conversational AI product I conceived, designed, branded, and built end to end — it turns a church’s existing sermons, articles, and ministries into a guided experience, so people find the right next step by asking, not searching.

Introduction
Ruach started with something I kept noticing in ministry: a church pours years into sermons, studies, and resources, and most of it goes quiet the week after it’s published. I wanted to give that content a second life — not as another archive to scroll, but as a conversation. Tell Ruach what you’re walking through, and it points you to what your church has already said about it.
Client Context
This one didn’t come from a client brief. It’s a product I conceived, designed, branded, and built from the ground up, drawing on years spent in church communications. It’s live today as a subscription platform any church can adopt.
The Challenge
A church’s best content is scattered across sermons, podcasts, ministry pages, and studies — and someone in a hard moment rarely knows the right thing to search for. The harder problem is trust: a faith audience needs answers grounded only in what their church actually teaches, never invented, and the tool has to support pastors rather than pretend to be one.
Strategic Approach
Reframe discovery as a conversation that meets people at their need — a struggle, a question — instead of at an org chart. Make it multi-tenant so any church brings its own library, and let churches borrow trusted messages from other ministries when they haven’t taught on something themselves. Build the whole thing on clear guardrails: grounded, source-linked, and church-controlled.
Creative Direction
Warm, calm, and human — the opposite of a cold search box. A cream-and-gold identity, generous space, and a conversational interface that feels pastoral rather than technical, so a person in a difficult moment feels met, not processed.
Design System
A full product design system spanning the conversational assistant, source-linked result cards (sermon, ministry, prayer, article), the moderated Prayer Wall, church onboarding and content management, embeddable branded widgets, and the marketing site — all in one coherent voice.
Development Solution
Ruach ingests a church’s content from the platforms it already uses (YouTube, Vimeo, podcasts, websites, ministry pages), reads and categorizes each resource by topic and life situation, and uses a language model to interpret a person’s natural-language question — responding with grounded, source-linked recommendations drawn only from that church’s approved library. A single embed script drops the assistant onto any site; a moderated Prayer Wall, engagement analytics, scheduled syncing, team permissions, and tiered plans round out the platform.
Responsive Experience
Built mobile-first — people reach for help on their phone, often in a hard moment — so the conversation and every next step work naturally on a small screen.

Handled
A native iOS app I designed and built from the ground up — it learns a household, generates a fair chore schedule, adapts as life changes, and makes the whole thing feel warm instead of administrative.
